CLP Power India on January 11, 2012
synchronized 660 Mw Unit 1 of the Mahatma Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project at
Khanpur, District Jhajjar in Haryana. The 1320 Mw coal based power plant is
being implemented through a Special Purpose Vehicle – Jhajjar Power Ltd,
incorporated by CLP Power India Ltd, a subsidiary of China Light & Power,
Hong Kong. Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd has been
nominated the nodal agency for the project. Unit II of the power plant is also in the advanced stage of completion.
