Sundaram Clayton commences production at its new Oragadam plant

Sundaram Clayton has commenced production at its new plant in the auto hub of Oragadam, near Chennai. In April 2012, the plant started making die-castings for Hyundai. The total production capacity at the new Rs 100 crore plant is 15,000 tpa. Apart from Hyundai, the plant will also serve a few other auto companies such as Honda.
 
 
 
Mamata Banerjee inaugurates Diesel Loco Component Factory at Hooghly.

 
West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee, on 28 May 2012 inaugurated the Diesel Loco Component factory at Dankuni in the Hooghly district of the State. The diesel loco factory will manufacture components for diesel locomotives built at Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi. 
 
 
 
H&R Johnson’s bathroom tiles plant in Jammu goes on stream

 
H&R Johnson’s manufacturing facility in Jammu and Kashmir commenced production during May 2012. The plant located at Samba has begun making chrome plated bathroom fittings. When fully operational, it will add 9 lakh pieces to its capacity, taking it to a total of 1.5 million pieces per annum.
 
 
 
Sangam India’s Bhilwara denim plant expansion completed
Sangam India, a polyester-viscose dyed yarn manufacturer has completed its Rs 180 crore expansion project at Bhilwara, Rajasthan.  The company has raised its denim capacity to 32 million mtrs, following the commissioning of its second denim line of eight mtrs. 
 
 
 
Anchor Electricals’ new manufacturing plant at Daman starts producttion
 
Mumbai based Anchor Electricals has begun operations at its new manufacturing unit at Daman, during May 2012. This new manufacturing unit has been set up with an investment of Rs 200 crore. It will produce a complete range of wiring devices
