Essar Oil announced on
January 9, 2012, the commissioning of 8 million tpa Amines Regeneration Unit
(ARU) as
part of the Vadinar Refinery expansion.
The phase I of capex programme entails expansion of Vadinar refinery
capacity from 14 mtpa to 18 mtpa. Essar’s ARU unit is one of the largest such
plants in the world.
