Jamnagar, Gujarat Essar Oil on January 8, commissioned the 8 mtpa Amines Regeneration Unit (ARU), as part of the Vadinar Refinery expansion from 14 mtpa to 18 mtpa. The ARU is among the largest such units in the world.

Bikaner, Rajasthan Neyveli Lignite Corporation on January 9 commissioned Unit II of 2 x 125 Mw coal based power plant of the Barsingsar Thermal Power station in Rajasthan.
