Yamuna Expressway opens for traffic

Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 9 August 2012 inaugurated the six laned access-controlled concrete Yamuna Expressway, connecting Greater Noida with Agra.  The 165 km road has been built at a cost of Rs 14,000 crore.   It is India's longest six-lane controlled-access expressway stretch. The project has been executed by the Jaypee Group of Noida.

Accor Group’s economy business hotel IBIS opens in Navi Mumbai

The Accor Group on 6 August 2012 launched its economy business hotel – IBIS - in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai. The newly opened hotel with 196 rooms,  is set up at an investment of Rs 150 crore.  Accor operates Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and most recently the Pullman brand of hotels in India.
