Essar Energy in April 2012
commissioned Unit I of the Salaya Thermal Power Plant located near its
oil refinery at Vadinar, in Jamnagar district of Gujarat. The work on
Unit II is also in full progress. Essar Energy has invested Rs 5,500 crore on
the project and the coal for the plant is sourced from Essar’s captive mines in
Indonesia.
