Daimler India Commercial
Vehicles on April 18, 2012, started commercial production of
Bharat Benz trucks at its Oragadam facility near Chennai. Spread over 1.76 lakh sqm, Rs 4,400 crore
Oragadam facility has an annual production capacity of 36,000 units. The company will produce 25 tonne and 31
tonne trucks at this facility. Daimler India Commercial Vehicles is the
subsidiary of German Daimler A.G. that owns Mercedes Benz, AMG among others.
